I turned on the built-in GUI. Left the port at 6666, which is the default. Restarted. Now when I try to acess
http://IP:6666 it says page isn't there. Is this the correct procedure?

Yes, I did use https and it comes back with this:
"The remote device or resource won't accept the connection".
I also included port 6666 in the TCP allow.

Might want to re-check the requirements in the readme, section 23.
Specifically this:
UI_ALLOW is enabled by default, so IP addresses (or CIDRs) allowed to use this
UI must be listed in /etc/csf/ui/ui.allow before trying to connect to the UI.
