Since a reboot this morning have been getting these emails every few minutes
I did a forced reinstall of both clamav and upcp but Clamav still wont stay running

I tried looking in logs for error but didnt find any detail

Any ideas ?

I am getting a lot of spam messages showing up in Mailwatch that do not have any spam score assigned to them. It is like they are bypassing SpamAssassin entirely. When viewing the header information in Mailwatch, the only thing under the SpamAssassin section is this:

Action(s): store, deliver, header, X-Spam-Status:, No

No scoring, nothing else. Any ideas on why this might be happening?

How can I resolve this?

When I run top in memory display mode and when I check the processor usage by day in WHM, mailnull is using about 45% of the memory at all times. mailnull has 4 running processes. Is there any way to cut down on the memory usage to free it up for other things?

I followed the technical faq to store messages, my days to keep is 30 , the quarantine folder has about ten days stored now, but mailwatch only shows me 1 day.

Where do I begin looking for this problem?

We are having customers complain that their attachments are being flagged as viruses. They are sending the new Office 2007 files (ie docx, xlsx pptx).

Is there a way around this? Where / what do I change to fix this?

I have a customer who has all of their email aliases forwarded to other external accounts such as Yahoo and Hotmail. We follow the suggestion about changing MailScanner virus scanner to clamd, but have the following problems:

Frist, clamd starts using about 32Mb, but sometimes, don't know why, rises up to 150mb ... and suddenly stops working.

I was using the nice MailScanner setup for cPanel on my Fedora Core 4 server.
It was working fine for 4 months until yesterday.
When trying to start MailScanner I get a Segmentation Fault.

Anyone experiencing this problem?

After the update of mailscanner this morning, I see this message in the Front-end:

MailScanner Status: Stopped!

And it's impossible to restart it. All the email is in the queue of the server but not delivered.

What can I do to restart the mailscanner?

Local emails sent from one user mail account to another mail account on the same server (whether the same domain or another domain but still local to that server) are not arriving in the destination mailbox.

I can see the mail entries arriving in exim_mainlog, but after that there is nothing at all, no failure, no error, nothing arrives at all. Its been like this for a week or so now...

mail from my server is getting caught by spamasssin URIBL_SBL but in checking the ip address is not listed on ANY spam or relay site

Any ideas on where else to look for cause of this false positive ?

For some reason today I just got an email from RulesDuJour Run Summary.
In this email it gave me a breakdown of the SARE rulesets (not sure what all that is)

Is there anyway to shut down Mailscanner without uninstalling it? I tried service MailScanner stop which worked but then I didn't receive any email the entire time it was off.

I have a really heavy load on the server right now (Christmas) and I need the resources that Mailscanner uses. After the holidays I want to fire it back up.
