Oh! I think you're right! At least on the most recent few I see with no SA score, they are "from" my client "to" an external recipient.

Well, that was easy. Thanks!!

253 Messages forwarded unscanned by MailScanner

What causes mail to skip being checked by MailScanner? I do not have a high load server (currently: 0.08 0.18 0.15 - for example). Here's my MS report from yesterday. Notice how many were forwarded unscanned. I'd like to configure my server in such a way that very few, if any, messages are skipped. ...

In case it helps anyone else, my BAYES rules kicked in sometime during the day today after wiping the DB files last night. Here are the current DB info stats from MailWatch for reference to the stats above where it hadn't kicked in yet. Number of Spam Messages: 4,419 Number of Ham Messages: 514 Numb...

Bayes DB Reminder

My bayes rules stopped processing a couple days ago & I need a reminder as to how this could happen when I have my bayes rebuild setting set to zero. Assuming my db was corrupt or something, how long does it take to get a DB built back up where bayes rules kick into gear again? What is the gener...

Well, I guess I should clarify something. The "spam report" simply says "timed out". It doesn't specifically mention it was an SA timeout. How do I tell if it was specifically an SA timeout, or a clamav timeout? Which log file would that be in? Another oddity I just realized is t...

Okay, I just realized from my MailWatch report that the "timeout spams" are roughly 6 minutes apart each!

360 seconds is awfully close to the 300 second setting for clamav timeout...

Just a thought,

Lots of SA timeouts lately - ClamAV?

Starting about 4 days ago (July 14, 2008), I've been getting a couple hundred e-mails a day that are making it through the spam checking process because SA times out. My users are starting to complain. So... thinking about it, I believe this is around the time I upgraded to the most recent ClamAV. C...

Watermarking Bug?

I'm really needing some help figuring this out... Setup: - I have watermarking enabled in MS 4.70.7 (just upgraded to ensure I got all the latest watermarking bug fixes in this release). - Instead of "spam" to the "Treat Invalid Watermarks With No Sender as Spam", I have a value ...
