Using Mod Security with Mod Ruid

Hello, we are looking at implementing Mod Ruid w/Mod Security via the WHM Easyapache to address the Symlink Protection Advisory issue. We are currently using CMC which works with the mod audit log. But when using Mod Ruid with Mod Security the location of the mod audit log is changed. According to t...

If your referring to the auto updates cron job, that should be located here: /etc/cron.d/csf_update

as far as the any remain files, just delete the folder/files in the /etc/csf folder then delete the "csf" folder if you no longer plan to use the firewall at all.

Most definiately! Drop the APF, it doesn't do half the job the CSF/LFD does. It's also less of a resource hog if setup correctly. I can't count how many times, when we where using APF in the past, that it messed up one of our servers ... BIG time!

Just my $0.02 worth ;)

If it's a typo in the config file, just let me know. Thanks. my mistake. My csf.ignore must be an older file, it still states it does not allow CIDR i...

In /etc/csf/csf.ignore I have, for example: 127.0.0.1 123.456.789.0/24 234.567.890.0/24 But if I ssh in from 123.456.789.32, it still triggers an SSH email alert. I restarted both csf and lfd, but it still triggers the alert. Thoughts? In the csf.ignore file it states: CIDR addressing _not_ allowed...
