Why are some emails being blocked?
On March 22, I discovered that SOME emails to users on my server were being returned to senders. Some were definitely coming through, but some weren't. I ended up having to disable CSF, at which time hundreds of emails started to come in. This problem didn't happen on March 21, so it was a new issue...

Very minor typo in WHM's CSF configuration
In the description for PT_LOAD_ACTION: If a PT_LOAD event is triggered, then if the following contains the path to a script, it will be run in a child process. For example, the script could contain commands to terminate and restart httpd, php, exim, etc incase of looping processes. The action script...

Any way to create multiple PT_LOAD_ACTION options?
Every once in awhile, something on my server will get hung up and cause a temporary load spike up to about 10. And then every once in a blue moon, something will REALLY get hung up and cause a load spike up to 100! I've always had CSF to email me when the load is over 6: PT_LOAD = 30 PT_LOAD_AVG = 5...

Re: High number of ICMP ping packets ONLY when CSF is on
Keeping you in the loop, I modified the LF_TRIGGER setting as suggested and then reenabled CSF 2 days ago. So far so good! My server load is constantly higher than before I enabled CSF, but I don't think that's related.
Thanks for the suggestions, I really appreciate it!

Re: High number of ICMP ping packets ONLY when CSF is on
Haha, it's been awhile since I've been told to RTFM! LOL I've been using CSF for 14 years, though, and I'm pretty familiar with it. I didn't see anything in the doc that gave me a clue on this issue, though. If you think I'm overlooking something, can you give me a clue of what I should be looking f...

High number of ICMP ping packets ONLY when CSF is on
I'm running CentOS v7.9.2009 with WHM/cPanel. I use Cloudflare and CSF with the Cloudflare extension. A few weeks ago, my sites started throwing intermittent Cloudflare 520 errors. The server load was fine and there was nothing in the Cloudflare logs, but I saw tons of these in /var/log/messages: Fe...

Why isn't CC_ALLOW_FILTER blocking everything
Under CC_ALLOW_FILTER, I have this: US,MP,PR,CA,TH,GU But I'm still seeing connections from other countries. For example, I just now received an alert from CSF: IP: 185.196.9.119 (CH/Switzerland/-) Temporary Blocks: 5 Temporary blocks that triggered the permanent block: Tue Jan 16 21:27:06 2024 (smt...

Re: One computer on the local network blocked, but not others
By "computer name", do you mean the name she gave it under Windows Properties? I tried searching all of the logs in CSF for that under "Search System Logs" but didn't find anything.

One computer on the local network blocked, but not others
I'm having a really hard issue to figure out. I have 2 computers on my local network. Several times now, one of the computers is unable to access several of the sites on my server, but the other can access them just fine! I confirmed that both have the same IP address, no VPN or anything. If I disab...

Re: Cloudflare issue: Does CSF run before Apache?
Update: At around 9pm I enabled CF_ENABLE via WHM by changing the value to "1"; that was an educated guess, the description didn't say HOW to enable it. I left the other values in the Cloudflare section at their default. I noticed, though, that CSF refers to mod_cloudflare in this section,...
